my 1971 LS5 was a factory air car. Between owner 1 and 2, a restoration was completed where the AC system was completely removed and retrofitted as a non-AC car. I am attempting to undo that work, but I need help with one area in particular.
on the passenger front wheel well, there was allegedly some ducting or shielding as the drier lines ran through this area. I can find the shielding for sale, but I cannot for the life of me find a picture of how this looks installed on the car. Would an owner or two be able to share some pictures of the hose routing through and around this area to help me?
Do you have a pic of what you're asking about? My '72 LS-5 with A/C doesn't have any sort of shielding/ducting that I can remember. Just the hoses passing through the fender skirt, bypassing the radiator support. Perhaps this thread & message addresses what you are after: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1596664863
This is fantastic, the 2nd and third pictures are exactly what I was looking for....the inner wheel well area. On my car, this area was smoothed out and the holes were filled in, but this shot shows that there is a cover paneling or fiberglass over the area. The interesting thing is that the "replacement" pieces I find when i search "68-27 air condition line duct on inner skirt" shows a picture that doesnt QUITE look like yours, but it may be close. This is such a huge help because I now at least know a rough idea of what this is supposed to look like and how the routing was set up on the wheel well side. I can't thank you enough! I really appreciate you taking the time to send these my way.

Are you looking for originality in your install? If not, Vintage Air has a little plastic cover they send with their kits for this purpose (on non-A/C cars.)
I didn’t need the piece for my VA install, so it’s currently screwed to the wall as a shelf to set my phone on. 😀
Thank you wwiiavfan, i appreciate the offer - i apologize as I just saw this but I already have the piece of 'glass on order to make it look as original as I possibly can. Thank you again!
