Default Rogue instrument panel wire

Hi all
trying to identify what this wire that is behind the instrument panel on my 68 might be for and where it should be connected to.

Have looked in the AIM and not noticed a brown / white stripe wire.

To make things a little more complex, Mine is a right hand drive conversion. Am thinking that this might have been an extension from the conversion.
Welcome any thoughts.

My thoughts. You have a converted car. Anything is possible.
if everything is working why worry? Tape it off and move on. If something isn't working. Maybe that's a start.
I'm in Australia as well. Couldn't be happier that my car hasn't been butchered. I mean converted.

Brown & White color is the original lead (pretty well washed out in the image you posted)? If so then it's probably just for a capacitor. Let me go find my thread on that..... gimme a sec.

here you go. read this and see it it helps. looks like brown/white is for the brake light switch capacitor. See pic attached by Alan 71 in the thread below. The 12-gauge brown that I was searching in the below thread is for the Ignition Switch Capacitor. From my AIM I do not see the lead colors being identified.....and I do not see that the wiring diagram includes them either.
