Engine is a 502 with less than 500 miles on it. Changed the oil last July and it was fine. Didn't use the car much. Just pulling it in and out of the garage over the winter. I have an 850 double pumper on it with no choke. I tore my shoulder so I haven't been able to use the car. Just went to change the oil and it should look new but has a murky look to it. Also smelled like gas. Dumped that oil and put some new oil into it. Ran it for about 10 minutes and dumped that oil. Will put some new oil in it now and see how it goes. Engine runs great. I guess the gas came from short runs and starting it in the winter with no choke. Water level is normal.
Pull the plugs, that will tell you if it's just running rich... It would have to be real rich to change the color of the oil... I had this problem and my oil was actually thin to the touch but the color was normal...

Im thinkning the floats may have stuck or the carb floods the cylinders and wash down the walls. That would get the fuel in the oil. As mentioned the fuel pump as well but we dont want to overlook what is possible. WIth no choke and lots of pedal pumping it doent take much to get too much fuel in there
