intake manifold gasket

do you guys install the restricted port gasket when install the intake gasket or have w/no restrictor on. what this do and which brand of gasket is the best

I think you are talking about the exhaust crossover. Seeing you live in Florida I think you can block it off if you want. It just helps in warming up the engine a little quicker.

Recoil,

You might search the archives for information on intake gaskets and discussions on blocking the EFE (Early Fuel Evaporation System) or Forced Air Pre-heat System. The system is designed to improve cold weather driveability.

Fel-Pro gaskets are used by many folks. They have a web site and offer several different style intake manifold gaskets for the same application.

Fel-Pro 1256 has the crossover open.

This FelPro set (MS 90314-2) gives you that option if you wish to use it.
