I'm putting together my 68 after paint. I've finished the wiper bay but haven't put the wiper door and related components on yet. I tried my wiper switch and nothing happens. Do I have to have all of the door system installed before the wiper motor will work ?

the answer is yes you have to have the wiper door connected so the plunger depresses the safety interlock. You can jumper it if the door is not on. Its there so the wipers will not work with the door closed
Wiper switch needs to be grounded
Press or jumper/bypass this switch, it's what prevents the wiper motor from getting power until the door is fully opened
