C3 Corvette Headlight
I own a 1980 C3 corvette. Last year I replaced the headlight actuators, hoses, relays, switch and the override switch. Lights were working really good till last night. The right side light won't come up. I pull the override and only the left came up. The right side wanted to stay down even when I forced it by pushing the lever from under the bumper. All the hoses seem to be attached. What am I overlooking?
Thank you for any and all advice.
But sometimes the issue is not vacuum related...Sometimes it is just age and friction.
First thing I like to do is a quick test to see if the headlights will pop up on the actuator alone...
Remove the hose from your headlight relay that goes to the rear of the actuator and blow into it...
Headlight should pop up easily...If not. try some PB Blaster / WD40 on the linkage.
If it still won't pop up. you probably have a bad actuator.
If it does pop up, probably a bad relay...
BTW I live in Smyrna TN but I am working on a project in Stockbridge GA...
Pull the red hose from the relay and blow into the hose...
