I'm in the midst of putting new carpet in my car and thought it would be good idea while I have the seats out to go over all the fuses in the panel and make sure they are all correct.....I've owned this car for 20 yrs and have never checked them....(my bad.)
There are 9 fuses in the panel, and 5 of mine were the wrong ....all having higher amp fuses installed....that's over 50% of the panel!!
It was easy to check and had all the fuses replaced within a 1/2 hour, so it makes it a nice easy winter project.
These fuses can be tricky to remove without breaking them so I just bent one of my picks to shape and it made pulling them out a snap.....just wiggle it behind the fuse, move it to one side and pull gently.
I still have to replace the instrument lights fuse as it was one that broke....and I didn't have a replacement.
I got a nice little fuse kit off Amazon for $8
Here's some pics
Pick used to remove fuses All new fuses installed (missing the instrument lights fuse)
