Who is the most reliable steering column rebuilder. The more I search, the more I am skeptical. I can't figure out what is actually wrong with it. the shaft moves around. the column is stable.
Cannot go wrong with Steering Columns Galore in NY. Have used them on 4 columns and they do great work. Never found any negative feedback on the Internet about them.
Just a perspective from a rebuilder-myself. I am what I consider an old school guy, we're fading away now. The con men and inexperienced shops are plentiful.
Shipping cost has doubled since covid, is it corrupt, yeah I think so but unless you want to drive parts across country you have to pay.
I don't know the shop Bill speaks of but if he had 4 positive experiences that is pretty good and if you can't find an honest, experienced local place, what choice do you have? Use a cheaper option and maybe get a good job or maybe revisit it again? I get those calls daily, price shopping for the best work at the cheapest price and you just won't get it, no matter what type of work it is.
Forum member corvgreg rebuilds columns. He has a thread in C3 Vendor for sale. C3 Columns for sale and restoration. I can’t figure out how to copy and paste the thread
