Kind of a catch 22 question.
I assume the entire brake system needs to be bled, all six bleeders anyway?
Then it's more productive to remove the MC and place it in a bench-vise. Two fittings, two nuts and its removed.
Seldom can the last "unseen" bubble exit the MC using a Motive system.
Click on my avatar, look for photo album bench bleeding for some tips.
Thanks guys, have not needed to do this yet, but I may have to drain my dot 5 and replace with dot 3. This means cleaning the whole system to get all the dot 5 out. The MC has never been off or rebuild in 51 years on my 72. I appreciate the info from guys that have used the pressure system for bleeding. I plan on using a motive pressure bleeder to remove the air.
