Yes.....last pair I changed was with the wheels on the ground......jack in the center, preload just right and swap the strut.....measure your eye to eye, set new strut accordingly and install....I highly recommend adjustable struts.

If you have trouble getting the Shock mount side out......you will have to use heat.......they can rust in there pretty good sometimes......last one I had that was really bad I had to cut the eye all up on the strut rod end and cut the sleeve out too....
