Default LOUD pops

IM just trying to knock off my problems 1 by 1 so here is the other 1

my alighment has been off some time now and everytime i turn the wheel, forward or reverse i hear a loud pop. This only happens at slow speeds like it so loud you can hear it many yards away. Its almost like a soundsing like something pops back into place then i try to turn the wheel. its at the same points basically.

Anyhelp...

thanks again

sounds like it.

Take the thing to Midas for one of their free inspections. Let them find all the problems your car has and give you an estimate.

Don't be surprised if you need 4 new ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends and a idler arm.
Most older C3's need to have all these replaced and it will go a very looooong way into making your car much more drivable.

I rebuilt my entire front end last year. I got the kit from Zips (you get a 5% discount if you order through the Corvette Forum). They have 1 entire kit with new bushings, ball joints, idler arm and tie rod ends. It was about $200 for the kit with poly-bushings.

If your handy with the tools you can do the work in a weekend or take the parts to the local shop. It will be a lot cheaper than what they can get the parts for. Labor for that can be between $450-$700.
