1969 AAW wiring
I am in the process of restoring a 69 small block corvette from the frame up. I am replacing the wiring with an American Auto Wire harness, and I have found that there are no wires in the engine harness which are hot while the ignition is turned to the ‘on’ position. I have several wires that I feel should be hot when key is turned to ‘on’ - pink ignition, orange fan, pink wiper motor limit. None of them have juice when measured with my voltmeter.
When I turn to crank the engine, the starter engages so I feel that the ignition on the steering column is hooked up appropriately.
Can anyone give me some guidance or point me in the right direction?
I used an AAW update system in my C2. Call their tech folks. They are very helpful and can walk you through any issues.
