82 fuel pump PLEASE HELP

2 years ago I replaced the fuel pump with one for a 1985. It worked great but then died again. We took the fuel pump out and the foam sleeve and all the rubber parts attached to the pump or disintegrated. I'm hesitant to put another general motors fuel pump on. Has anyone else run into this problem and have a fuel pump they would recommend?

Ethanol blended gas is very destructive to rubber.Does your state sell E-85 gas? I know some stations in Colorado sell non ethanol gas.

I thought I bought non-ethanol but I must not have. I would have assumed the GM pump that I purchased would have at least worked with e10 or e15
