Fuel Vapor Return Line
I have a quick question regarding the vapor return line running along the left frame side from the tank to the cannister. Mine is missing on my 73. I see the vendors sell the pre-bent steel line but can this be simply replaced with a rubber line or braided line? Thanks for the assist.

You could replace it with fuel hose.
Or you could get one of the pre bent lines and cut is as necessary to get it installed, using short piece of fuel hose to make the connection of the sections.
You could also get straight hard lines and bend your own...
But the vapor return is not a necessity...
Why not just make sure the line is blocked off at the gas tank and leave it out?

If your Vette is smog exempt in your state (fairly certain it is) you don't need any of that vapor return line / canister stuff. Motor will run just fine. You'll need a vented gas cap if the tank is completely sealed.
