I got my wrist slapped before but I'll add that putting casters on the quickjack makes positioning it under the car / sliding it out of the way soooo much nicer than dragging it around on the floor.
M
i need details please..i would love to slide easier..
Wow. Ordered on Monday and parts are supposed to start arriving today. Gave me an opportunity to watch some youtube videos. I saw a recommendation to use Teflon Tape instead of the sealing compound. I reckon I can do that.
Can someone share views of the underside where you place the lifting blocks? No need for me to reinvent the wheel.
That was prompt. Ordered the Quickjack on Monday a.m. and finished receiving all components today at about 1330.
And I have many local stores that carry the quickjacks. So about 30 minute pickup. So it was real easy to quickly do this, Pickup Friday after work, start using Saturday morning.
One thing I notice is that all the cars are stockish exhaust. Has anyone used one of these with side pipes? I am guessing the lifting points would be the same based on the pictures but is there an issue getting them under the car and in place?
After I got the car and jacks in position the first time I placed tape on my floor where the cars tires need to be and other pieces of tape on the floor that indicate where the jacks need to go to properly align them with the lift points on the car. Makes it a lot quicker to get things realigned each time I use them. I store mine on the floor pushed together and park the car over them.
These things are getting expensive too. I can remember when they were $500-$600 during a sale, then when I wanted to buy some they were $800, again on sale. Now they’re $1400!!! That’s some huge price jumps over the course of 2 years.

Dang. This thing is fantastic. I ended up using BOTH Teflon Tape (careful to keep it away from edge of fitting) AND the Sealant to get the NPT fittings to seal. But really, this thing is handy as all get-out! Yesterday I was working on a tranny leak that I would have just put off till later....but it is so easy to lift that I went ahead and worked on it (I think I got it fixed too!).
I did watch a lot of youtube videos to ensure I didn't drop the car.... glad I did too.
For anybody on the fence I do recommend ..... should be some sales coming about for holidays so keep an eye out. I should have gotten one years ago.
Thanks for the pointer. I marked the frame with chalk for the placement of the rubber blocks and it made things easier each subsequent time ..... I also leave mine on the floor. I put some casters on them too (per some youtube vides) so I can now slide them around easier.

Only reason I would not recommend getting one, is you want your free time back. Since I got mine I spend more time under the car vs doing other things. .
Its too easy to work on anything now. Glad you finally got to experience easy access to anything. Since I got mine this year, I have had it on the rack 20+ times. Caught up now.
Sure is nice to lift the car or whatever I'm working on and WALK under it, just saying = got $2300.00 tied up in a 9000 LB. 4 post
if your young that thing will work, when you get older you get tired of bending over & crawling on your knees
I’m with you, I’ve got around $1k in a 7,000 lb two-post. They are a lifesaver. But, I can sympathize with the guys with low ceilings. They make open top 2-posts that will fit in an 8-1/2 foot garage, but they don’t do much good over quickjacks because the physical height of the car prevents you from lifting it up enough. I have an 11’-3” ceiling and if I raise my ‘71 as high as I can (clearing the door opener) , I can walk upright underneath and I’m 5’-10”. I placed the top crossbeam of the lift in between two rafters so I could move it up a little higher.
