Shifter handle spring
I am re-assembling a stock 1975 L-48 four speed Vert. I acquired it in pieces.
I am re-assembling the shifter handle and am ready to install the Reverse Lockout Lever.
If I slip the spring on the lever and slide both into the handle, should there be a bushing under the spring?
I am afraid if I drop the spring into the handle, it will slide down too far, never to be seen again.
I have looked at a lot of diagrams, but can’t find a specific reference. Some years have bushing(s) and some are vague.
