I'm fairly certain you can. I don't know if you need to drill a new hole in the shift arm on the transmission, but it's probably there.

If you ordered that one from zip it doesnt come with the mounting bracket , the switch rod or the cotter pins

I posted that to show Zip's diagram. I have a Hurst shifter in my 80, and working backup lights. I had assumed that the swap was simple, with a switch rod hole already in the new lever, and at most you'd bend the switch rod.
Is my vette stock?? HAHA

I have never seen thatt switch before. The stock reverse light switch mounts on the transmission and uses a hole on the shift arm that is on the transmission itself. It is water proofed and is a good little unit. Has a road debris shield as well. I guess that Hurst one will work but it doesnt look all that sturdy. Let us know how it goes.
