Hello. I have a concern and a question about the plastic Speedometer driven gear. My concern is how to install with out the whole piece going in to far and dropping into the transmission. First off is this even possible if the gear in the transmission is in place, it certainly seems possible with mine.
Do you put the driven gear into the sleeve and then into the side of the transmission as one piece, or does it matter. I'm afraid that when screwing the speedometer cable onto the sleeve it will push the driven gear to far in and into the transmission. Perhaps I'm looking at it wrong, any tips or advice. Thanks in advance.
Unless the drive gear has moved there is no way the driven gear will fall in. The gear is inserted into the adapter and than the adapter inserted into the transmission, it goes in as one piece.
