All of my cars are Manual steer by choice and use forward fast steer ratio hole. Use a Pontiac Trans Am steering wheel from 70s 14 inch 3 spoke, thick grip unit- Greenwood used these on his race car). You aren't easily turning the wheels parked, you have to be moving. I have zero steering deflection, or play. When moving, no thought of any effort to steer, until going slower or up to race speeds. I generally shoot for zero toe, so have to steer in and out of a turn. 10 inch rims in the front. Feels like a 2850 lb go kart.

I’m putting a 14” steering wheel in.
I already force myself to always be moving when turning the wheels.
Its always been a habit of mine even with all my daily drivers with power steering.
It sounds like I’ll be putting the tie rods into the forward or fast ratio holes.
Ilike the borgeson power steering box with a flat steering wheel like 427hotrod and the one of reasons is when losing control of car it's way easy to snap it back to save it , nobody likes to wad up .

That's the main thing I like about fast ratio steering....if you get crossed up...which is a real possibility with my car.....it's a lot easier to get things back in line with just small steering input.
455?
Many years ago I had a 72 Buick GS with a 455, silver blue with a black vinyl top.
I put a set of dual quads, cam, headers etc on it, all under the hood with the oem wheels.
It was a sleeper, because everyone knew Buicks were what your grandparents drove.
I wish I still had it today!
Yes, with /Stage II heads. It would burn rubber halfway thru second gear! Put a Switch-Pitch THM 400 tranny too!
Buick guys everywhere...I had a gold '72 GS Stage 1.....tan interior...factory 8 track! Great car....

There’s a guy around the corner from us, that has two in his garage.
He is restoring both and it looks like he has one more behind his fence in the side yard.
The two in his garage are 70-71’s.
