69 Convertible soft top adjustment advice requested
After an almost 7 year-long restoration am finally down to top and tires. Am having an issue with top adjustment I just cannot wrap my mind around. The pins for the header that index into the windshield frame are about 1/2-3/4" too far forward to engage, likewise the pins that go into the rear decklid, same amount too far forward. This is leading to issues with window sealing etc. I have loosened the 4 bolts that hold the top frame to the body and have some play but not enough to give the 1/2-3/4" that I need to get the pins to index and bring everything into proper alignment, I am ruling out frame damage, Texas car that is utterly corrosion-free and no signs of an accident, the frame is as new as is the bridcage around the windshield, utterly sturdy and play-free.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a mystery adjustment point that I have not found?
Thanks!

If 2 are too far forward, it makes sense that the 3rd one is too far forward also. Or, possibly mounted too high?
Loosen or remove the bolts from the attachment on the body and latch the front and back pins.
Then you should be able to adjust the mounting point to make it work.
New cover, new frame, etc.???
