It looks like I will get just a little bit of interference at the parking brake pulley bracket. What did you guys do??? I'm not cutting out the crossmember, so I need another answer. I haven't put the tranny mount bracket in place yet and I am hoping that lifts the tranny up enough to give me the clearance I need but I am asking just in case.
Re: TKO with FIXED crossmember...HELP?!?!? (71roadster)
Chris,
I installed my TKO with a fixed crossmember. I used the transmission mount bracket from Bowtie Overdrives. I installed the transmission and engine together. No clearance isssues at all.
Just a thought, did you cut off the weights that are on the tailshaft of the transmission? Without doing that you will definitely have clearance problems.

Thanks John
Thats what I wanted to hear. I also have the bracket from bowtie overdrives. I cut off the ribbing on the bottom of the tail shaft, if that is what ou were refereing to. It just looks like there is a housing for some kind of shaft the runs perpendicular to the driveling that looks like it is going to ride the bracket. I'll stick the bowtie overdrive bracket in and see how it all fits.
