Does anyone know if the covers in the title will fit a 1972 Corvette 350? I think the covers will fit, but because of where the oil breather attached I am not sure the breather will not interfere with my stock hood.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t, usually the top of your air cleaner is 2-3 inches higher than the top of the valve cover. Do you have a picture of the ones you’re looking to get?
My current tall valve covers are almost as tall as the bottom of my drop base air cleaner. I am also using a 2" air filter so my air cleaner lid doesn't hit my hood. If the breather for the covers is taller than 2" it will hit my hood.
I guess they do fit, but I just learned they don't have a (frame rail?) and I don't want to take a chance of the gasket squishing out and having the gasket leak oil.

Mine have never squished out a gasket. I used reuseable $60 Felpro blue silicone....which Mark Jones. my engine builder threw away without my permission or for any good reason, and the cork gaskets he installed....neither squished out.

You need to buy gaskets with the metal insert to keep their shape. We just used FelPro 1604 on my son's car.
