Default Engine analyzer

Went to hook up my engine analyzer the other day only to find out it has finally died. RIP. It was only forty years old.
Tried to find a replacement but it looks like there is nothing available for the old stuff anymore. All I really need is a handheld tachometer. Anybody know where I can get such a thing?

Digital handheld tachs exist... I also have one of those all in one engine analyzers w/ a dwell meter. Or you can just buy a little aftermarket tach and wire it in.

What I used more than anything was a digital timing light that I could alternate between timing and RPM function.

Genius! Thank you. I just looked up timing lights to find there are a number of lights available with a built in tach.
Anyone want to buy a couple of 40 year old timing lights?

Anyone using the Innova 5568 timing light? It looks like you can read out the RPM while you are checking the timing. That would make setting up the advance curve much easier than looking back and forth between the tach and the damper. I've got my credit card out. If I don't hear any negative reviews, I'm ordering one up tonight.

I use the Innova 5568 on my 72 with std points ign.
It has the dwell meter setting so adjusting the points and timing is all accessible.

Innova 5568 you say? That's exactly what I use. Works great! I just used mine over the weekend to check timing on a buddy's truck.

That looks pretty much like the forty year old units I have that finally crapped out. May have to donate them to a museum.
I ordered that Innova timing light. Looking forward to trying it out.

The Innova looks good. If you don’t like that for some reason, I have the

Actron CP7529 Digital Timing Light for $24 on Amazon.

It also does advance and switches between tach.
