Hi All, I recently stumbled across an engine in my travels for other parts I was buying. In the back of an 80’s G20 van lay an engine. It had been taken out of the car when it was going into restoration and the car had got stolen. That was 35 years ago. Long story short it’s an HX coded engine dated I 21 8. It had this alternator on it. Was just more or less curious to confirm its legitimacy as I see them going for good money, and if I list it as an original I want to be sure.

regular guys like me just want the correct, as in period correct alternator. The guy willing to part big bucks for this alternator that needs a rebuild will know what he's looking for.
