My car came with a th350 and it fit fine. You'll need a shorter driveshaft and trans support modifications.

For those of you who would like to attempt your own transmission build, there are many tips and guides on the LS forums (and LS engine swaps as well). I used them to build a 1000hp one that has been trouble free for thousands of miles. All you need for 1000hp is an input shaft, a forged drum and a sprag and some minor mods. no kits needed. LS forums has an automatic transmission section LS forums Automatic Transmissions. Between the tips there and YouTube videos of full disassembly, rebuild and assembly of stock ones, it's doable. As transmissions go, this one is not hard to work on.

You will need a controller as well as the transmission. I built my own.
