I agree with you, they are a tool. Most of the simulators do not factor in modern day fast burn cylinder head designs and there are other assumptions made. However, knowing that, they are useful when used in the proper context. I use them to get an idea of "relative" change from one component to another - or in this case give someone an idea of some numbers in the ballpark. I think it is reasonable to assume that for the combination listed it will be somewhere between 360-380 HP @ 5500 RPM and 380-390 ft-lbs of torque @ 3500 RPM for a compression ratio of 9-10 to 1. The simulators also tell you what isn't going to happen - like getting 450 HP out of this combination.

OK, I was looking at that spec and said, that can't be at .050" and assumed that was a 268h cam and must be advertised duration which don't mean **** to me, really. Then I looked and saw that it is a single pattern cam at .218I/E at .050". That is a small cam and geared for more low end if that's what you are aiming for, which is fine. Like Jebby suggested, adding a 1.6 rocker will up the lift a little to approx .484 lift which isn't crazy, Everything helps, but that 3.08 gear is NOT helping you at all. It will be much better at something a bit higher. Just MO on things, others will vary. GL with the build.
