I still haven't solved the no headlight riddle. (I'm pretty much electrically impaired). I was wondering is there supposed to be any power going through the high/low beam switch that sits under your foot? I don't seem to be reading any voltage. Would a bad switch keep the headlights from coming on. As always any help is appreciated.
My guess is you will have a power wire coming from your on/off headlight to the dimmer switch. Then two circuits will leave the dimmer one for high one for low, going to the lights. Just a guess.
Just from memory, but I think years ago my dimmer switch on the floor went bad and it messed up both the high and low beams. Not sure if there is power there or not but you might try a known good one and see if that solves the problem.
Thats certainly what happening to me. Probably doesn't help that I rest my left foot on it when I'm not shifting. I don't guess theres a way to bypass it.
It wasn't the dimmer. I bought a new one (only $4) so gave it a shot. turned out to be a loose connection in the light switch. I didn't think it was the light switch since its only a couple of years old. So much for aftermarket parts.
