Default 1970 Climate Vacuum Hose Replacement

Hello. I purchased a Climate Control Vacuum Hose Kit from Corvette Central. Paragon #11492K

I'm installing in my 1970 Coupe without A/C.

The 60" hose comes off the T and goes through the firewall. I'm not sure where it connects to? The diagram's aren't very clear. I saw someone saying it connected to a T to a Vacuum Hose?

The old hose I'm replacing looks smaller and has a clip on the end. It isn't hooked up anywhere. Also, the instructions have 2 hoses going in to the right side of the control. My existing has a rubber fitting with 3 holes. Am I missing something? See picture below.

I'd greatly appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

John

Old hose in engine bay

Climate Control Module

Old Connectors Left & Right Side. 4 Hoses from left. On the right rubber connector, It looks like a 3rd middle hose was broken off?

Here's the different connections for the left side

I believe the earlier ones are still the same.

The right hand side only provided vacuum for the astrovent flappers behind the rear window when the hot was selected to close them off so only in and out

Could you please tell me the "Vacuum Source" line? Is one of the 1/2 inch large hoses that go to the wiper door actuator? Or the smaller hoses that go to the relay?

It should be a slightly smaller line that comes out and "tees" into the wiper door actuator line (yellow striped one IIRC). Here just to the left of the bolt for the hood bumper

(Ignore my braided hose sleeves)

It's spliced into the large yellow-striped line... and that T-fitting is an oddball! I searched a long time for one until I discovered that Doc Rebuild sells it:

Hello. Just to confirm, it would splice into the line that goes into the front of the Actuator (from the Top of the Relay, atmospheric pressure according to the diagram), Correct?

I appreciate the advice!!

It is spliced into the yellow line that comes off the metal piping that runs along the firewall and dips below the wiper motor. Here is the AIM drawing (#9, UPC 1ASM, Sheet M3) and splicing instruction for installation:

Hello & thanks. I do have the ASM M3 diagram, but it's confusing. Is your picture on the passenger side? My car doesn't have metal piping. I put an arrow in the first picture pointing to the single hose coming through the Firewall. From your previous message I understood that it "tees" to the Red striped hose that goes into the Front of the Wiper Door Actuator? Is that correct?

I replaced the vacuum system hoses for the headlights & wiper door (according to the diagram) and they work fine.

The arrow points to the vacuum hose coming from the heater control through the single firewall grommet. The Large Red Stripe hose connects to the front of the wiper door actuator.

This is the Vacuum Hose coming off the engine that has a filter, then valve that splits in 2.
