ok I had to remove the entire dash, everything. wow what a mess! lol, when i started all my lights worked. and was able to start the car and drive it into my shop. removed everything all that was left were wires. from then on nothing else worked, obviously everything that wires were connected to didn't work. the starter Might have voltage going to it but my physical restraints won't let me put a meter on the starter to check for power.
nothing worked. and I mean nothing. checked battery...good.
i got the left lower dash reconnected up. still nothing. I have spent the last couple months when I had time and checked and double checked and rechecked then the only thing I can come up with is maybe it might mean that I have to reconnect all the wires and switches and lights To the center dash and right dash. is one thought.
Or maybe there's a ground wire that I haven't reconnected.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Even better somebody in the Venice FL area that could come over and hook everything up right for me (Or at least get the power working and I can put all the dash parts back in) and get it working willing to pay.
Thanks Fred Edmunds
Yea,I’m in a similar situation on my 1981,parked 7 months ago,the buzzard came on when key was inserted interior lights came on when door opened, took seats, dash and carpet and console out, nothing but wires and I am trying to remove some of them, but now I have nothing, but I have already took a screwdriver on solenoid and turned over fine,so definitely electrical, and I’m guessing a ground wire, but I’m not electrical guy,but do have a test light, and multimeter. Battery is good
