I have this 79 vette that i’ve been working on and I was rearranging some spark plug wires and now the car won’t start. I’ve checked them multiple times anc the firing order is correct and the wires are tight on the distributor and plugs. I’m not sure what the issue is, maybe timing? I’m not sure.
There is no video attached.
Do you have #1 plug wire on the front drivers side of cap and #8 front passenger side of cap followed by 4,3 6,5,7,2?
Did you check if the wire on the BAT terminal of cap is plugged in?
If all you did is change the wires and now it will not start then the problem is the wires. Probably more importantly the order and placement of the wires. How did you change the wires? Did you rip them all out leaving the #1 wire in place and replace all the rest then replacing the #1 wire? Did you replace them one at a time? Any other work done?

timing wont change from changing plugs....remember Chevy has the odd plugs on the drivers side and even on the passenger side going from front to back...its not like a ford
Ya gotta wonder if by chance you knocked the power wire off the lower edge of the distributor cap.
firing order is correct you say. But is number 1 in the correct location? Then the rest follow.
