1980 corvette that has been without any electrical issues... not one, everything has worked perfectly, no battery drain, no issues.
I just changed the speedo gear and driven gear in my transmission, car has been up in the air for about a week, also wired a new lockup solenoid in the trans but haven't connected it to the fuse panel.
filled the fluid, took the car down, got in and started it and I have some kind of issue.
My tack stuck at 4k rpms key on or off, my battery, seat belt and chock light are all on as well as the courtesy buzzer even with the door closed.
I didn't disconnect anything while all this, something happened while in the air
OK, glad you got it. But your guage fuse made your buzzer go off when the fuse was blown?
I am confused.
What caused the fuse to blow?
don't know... when I started the car after bringing it back down the tach was stuck, battery/choke/seatbelt lights were on and buzzer was going off, I checked as many connections and grounds as I could in any area I was working.
I did a search and read to check guage fuse... I did and it was blown.
I was in there last weekend tapping into an ignition source to check my old solenoid and must have done something, again don't know but never one electrical issue in just over a year, replaced fuse and took the car out yesterday afternoon and all is good.
