68 427/390 Fuel Filter

68 427/390 Fuel Filter
Greetings, I have a 427/390 that a PO replaced fuel tank and no longer has the fuel return port on the tank. Is there a fuel filter like the AC GF432 but without the return port on the filter? Was at NAPA with some hot rod type people and one suggested the '63 fuelie GF90 but I am suspicious. I also have tried other look alikes and while the filter looks right and threads, it does not seal as not meant for flared fuel line. Anyone find a fit or must I resort to rubber hose and clamps?
