Maybe, I think over the years I've only ever seen one 77 without factory air. I'm not certain of the numbers, someone did post it up on here once. But there were FAR more air cars than non air cars in 77. By 77 the cars were all delivered in fairly deluxe trim.
perhaps for realitivly low numbers there wasn't a good reason to have 2 different fans. The cost of inventory might outweigh any savings on one blade less per fan.
Looking at the 77 AIM UPC 6K Sheet 1 there were just 2 different fan blades installed...
My guess would be a manual transmission L82 would have received the 5 blade fan A/C or not...
Part number 372501 was superseded to 469580 around 6/76 as per the AIM...
I pitched my fan in the dump about 20 years ago so I really can't check. I thought it was more than a 5 blade. But.... really don't remember. Switched over to electric fans as I hated working with the stock shroud. Never thought there would be anyone interested in a old stock fan. So I pitched it. Today, perhaps someone would wish I had kept it.

that makes sense.. thanks.. i find it funny too like my 79 L82 HP manual that is says 47 mm.. which i assume is 470mm 18.5 inches as they mix up and transition to metric.. looks like bigger was better as the years roll on..interesting..
i think at least in 79 the L82 H/PERF drops to 5 blades regardless of AC.. must be extra HP.. also added electric fan just in case lol
