Default C3 Rear Storage Compartmentq

Okay Guru's
Lemans Blue L79 Survivor car.
My rear storage compartment frame has a few small cracks. Anyone know what it is made of and what the correct glue / bonding agent is ? tried superglue model cement and loctite with no luck. is there a chance it is fiberglass. Any help appreciated

thanks
Jim

I don’t know what it is made of, but I have never found anything that cannot be bonded with:

West Systems 610 Epoxy.

I get it in the caulking gun tube, but just squeeze what I need in a container, mix it, and apply.

I can honestly say that I haven't used any of the storage space. Now ai will make an effort to use them.

Considering the time and effort, I just bought another. Life's short.

it’s plastic.
what is the color of your interior?
Don't the frames match the interior color?
I second WestSystems or just buy a new one.

Mine was cracked so I used J B weld Epoxy and it turned out good. Once the frame is installed there really isn’t any tension on it. Make sure you have the correct screws that secure the frame to the car, also the three lids.

Do yourself a favor and get a new one. I tried the epoxy route, with little success. The glued portions were strong but the original material was very brittle. If it cracked in one area, it’ll crack again somewhere else.
