Have you replaced the filter and gasket yet?
The pan gasket is usually the main offender and the fluid ends up everywhere due to wind forces.
But my transmission, factory original I might add, doesn't have a pan or a filter. Are you certain this will work? He never did mention he had a automatic. He just said transmission.
I'm in the Cream Ridge area... If you are familiar with Corvette Paramedics down by Columbus, they recommended Joe's Hamilton Trans...Nottingham way, Hamilton Twp. I worked right down the street so it was convenient, he had a number of classics in his shop at the time, 66 impala and a real old van. He upgraded my 700r4 and it works well, but it might not be happy after a certain all out drag race.. lol.. fluid now looks less than new.. But he is the only game in town around here, and Ive been checking around. There was a place called Cream Ridge Trans on 539 by the Plumstead Inn but it burned down and I don't know where he is now--and I heard mixed results.
Go to some car shows and ask around, they used to have a cars n coffee at a diner up your way, there is a big one this Sunday at the Plumstead. You can call Ed at Corvette Paramedics, not sure if he will help with advice rather than bring it in to them, I kind of know him. I'll make a call today to another guy I know and see what he says...
Flor me, if my 700 fails I'm going to order a level two from Bowtie Overdrives and have it installed locally, you might look at that sort of option as well...
