Default Shock questions...need help

While I have the rear end out, I would like to upgrade the springs and shocks. The spring decision is easier for me (I'm going with composite in rear, coils in front), but I still have questions about shocks. Is anyone using an adjustable shock that has external adjustments? I have looked at Tokico, Koni, and Bilstein so far. The Koni is adjustable, but you have to remove it to make the adjustments. Tokico makes adjustable, but not for the C3. I would like the ability to adjust, but I don't want to remove the shock every time. Are there other companies I should look at?

Thanks for the input.

Well, I went back through the archives (should have done that first) and realized that many are using non-adjustable Bilsteins or the adjustable QA1 shocks. Does anyone have more to say about the QA1's; do they become harder to adjust after some use and road grime? Is anyone using them a big block car and 17in rims? Do you find yourseld adjusting them to different conditions? Finally, for the Bilsteins, do you feel they are a compromise, or do they work well in hard driving and cruising?

Lots of questions, but I don't want to buy shocks twice.

Thanks for any help.

I'm planning on getting a set of the Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks. They're not adjustable but they have a "circuit" inside them that allows them to switch instantly between a soft and firm circuit for improved handling and a smooth ride at the same time. I've heard very good reviews from people who have tested them also. Sounds the like the best of both worlds to me

Got the Bilsteins and they are awsome in my opinion. Combined with my 460 coils and 340 mono its a different car. My brother had a serious wheel hop problem when launching his turbo buick under boost. When he put Bilsteins on and did nothing else the wheel hope was totally cured. Tough heavy duty shocks for sure. Worth the extra $.
