The fuel tank in my 68 has a ton of surface rust in it. I ordered a correct replacement tank from Zip. They get them from Quanta. Quanta informed them that the tank is on back order with no delivery date because the metal blanks they use are also backordered. Has anyone used a replacement tank from another source like Rock Auto or Amazon? I spoke to a few places that used to coat the inside of the tank, but stopped offering the service because the tanks degrade over time, so that avenue is closed for me. Thanks. Jerry

I thought of using the product you listed. Once you add up all the chemicals you need it comes to about $150 with tax and shipping. I just ordered a Spectra tank from Rock Auto. Out the door and delivered is $200. NAPA quoted me $425 plus tax for the same Spectra tank. You also get a gasket, screws and a sender O-ring and specialized fastener. I will let you know how it all turns out. Jerry
Yeah. Make sense.... new tank is a much better idea
