I just aquired a '79 Corvette that appears to have some of the uner the hood emissions missing. Anybody out there have any idea how its suppose to be
or have any pics ? Need to be able to pass Missouri inspection. Help !
I have pics of mine if needed.
AIR, EGR, EFE, plus a catalytic converter. Myabe something else I'm missing. A nasty tangle of tubes and plumbing. Most cars of this vintage had that stuff torn out by owners many years ago -- and in some states this can cause real headaches.
What does Missouri inspection require? How old does the car have to be before it becomes exempt?
On my '79, they did not do a visual inspection, nor did they run it up on the treadmill like the newer cars. They raised the hood to connect a tachometer lead and they just checked emissions at idle.
