Default Aces 7" Pro Dash

Anyone install one of these in their C3 where the gauges go?
Please also your opinion.

I'm looking at that thinking most of the information on that screen would be useful when tuning. But completely not necessary when driving.
And it would look so out of place in a C3 unless it was a extreme resto mod.
The Factory gauges give you the information you need while driving. Including how much fuel is in the tank.
I too run EFI in my C3. I don't need to see MAP readings or AFR readings while driving. And in those cases when I am tuning I run a cable around and through the window. And have a passenger read the gauges. So I can watch the road. Hard to read a AFR gauge while accelerating hard up a steep winding hill!
And yet that's information you may need for tuning.
Once set. You just don't need to be watching this.
Notice that no new cars have these kinds of readouts for the driver?
It's your car of course, but this is going to take a bit of work to do and have it look even reasonable.

I had a setup like this in my honda ridgline. Since you can use an app like torque that runs on any android or apple device and communicated with a $12 bluetooth OBDII interface to give this and much more data in real time. (and the ability to read codes and reset them along with computer settings.)
I had a 10" android based car stereo in the vehicle so this was running as a tab... Like 4 vetttes pointed out, for tuning its great but once everything is set up its just a distraction. I use torque on my phone to check the different computer and sensor reading on my newer vehicles whenever modifying or troubleshooting but other than that I find it kinda pointless. And I say this as someone who gets flack for having a lot of gauges under my hood for things like transmission temps and battery voltage and such. These are old pics, I have changed things a bit and the gauges are all the same type now but the AFR.. I do find usefulness in monitoring different temps and even the vacuum levels in real time.

same.. I keep mine under the hood

The Holley Touch Screens made to interact with their EFI systems can be modified to display what you want it to show. I would love to have one over the center console gauges but easily removable to prevent it being stolen. It can display lots of valuable information depending on your setup. With the CanBus you are able to attach oil pressure and other engine monitors to the screen.

I'm definitely not installing a Aces 7' dash as the displays are nothing like the Holley. Also you have to run a certain throttle body with their system that they don't sell
you have to buy their hole kit. Also you need to buy a certain accelerator or else it does not work and they don't sell it.
To me a good company when you are ordering this they should tell you or ask you,

Hey do you have a throttle body? No good you have to by this one that we do not sell only in a kit with the manifold.
And if you do and it does not meet their specks you are **** out of luck you have to source them by part numbers.

Have an accelerator you do what the part number nope you are **** out of luck and they don't sell it either should have
bought a Holley would have been much money head.

Now I have two throttle bodies and two accelerator that do not work. Buyer beware.

Well you started this discussion. And it really didn't look like anyone thought it was a good idea to permanently install this in a C3 anyway.
As I stated. I do run EFI. but don't need this type of information to drive the car. And it would look so out of place.

Just an interesting bit of info I found yesterday since I now also have an aces killshot I still have to get installed in my car.. They announced a couple days ago they partnered with dakota digital and now dakota sells a module to make thier gauges talk to the aces ECM via canbus which I thought was pretty cool. Especially since the killshot base system is on sale for $600 right now. they also make a system for the LS that plugs into the factory injectors and for about the same $$ which would make a good option for the LS swap guys.

I went with the smaller 5" display on my setup because I will have an easier time mounting it in the c3. (either below the radio or above my rear view mirror.)

The Aces screen will only work with their kit. They are not universal, nor is the Holley screen.

I have the Aces LS kit and it has multiple options for standard GM throttles bodies and pedal assemblies. I have DBW using an LS3 throttle body 19420707 and GM pedal 10379038. It’s all plug and play with the Aces kit.

The 7” screen is configurable. I played with installing it in the factory speedo / tach location. It barely fits, but looked out of place. Decided to keep my Autometer speedo and tach in the stock location. Routed the cable for the screen into the glovebox and just plug it in when needed.

Aces ECU is much more compact than the Holley Term X. Fits nicely in the glovebox, I can see the status LEDs and connect the 7” screen or laptop easily from this location.

Interesting, But. I don't have a glove box and most of that information still isn't necessary to drive my car.

I don't have an Aces display, but came across the same question when I built my own display. Here is where I ended up with mine.

The one I designed replaces all the gauges in the car including tach, coolant, what gear the trans is in, brake pressure, trans temperature, line pressure, oil temp, battery voltage, Fuel pressure, charge temperature, speedo and even fuel level, so all the gauges were removed and I reused the space where the gauges used to be for other purposes. Here is a old video. Since then I've filled in the empty space where the tach and speedo use to be with turn signal indicators and additional controls for my headlamps and vacuum pump and so on.
