Anybody come across this issue, installed the electric headlights and they work perfectly except for one little issue. …When you turn the bright lights on the lights flip down and back up again on bright, when you dim them they flip down and back up on dim? Does anyone here have any idea what could be causing this issue? Thanks in advance for anyone here that’s an electrical expert in this area.
I'm going to guess that the trigger wire for the electric motors is connected to both the low and high beam wiring using two diodes to isolate the low and high beam circuits. The up and down is the momentary loss of power to the trigger wire while switching from low and high beams. Connect the trigger wire directly to the headlight switch.
The headlight power is ALWAYS continuous- The lights do NOT turn of and on when you switch from low to high- or vise versa.
The dimmer switch makes contact BEFORE it breaks contact.- safety feature
Don't know how its wired- but sound to me like a bad ground on the headlight circuit

If the dimmer switch is worn they will momentarily lose power. Seen it a million times.
