Hello everyone.

So the ignition switch is along the steering column. This switch is mechanically connected to the lock key by a small rod.

Has anyone already disassembled this part ?
Thanks for your help!

I hadn't seen this post, I'll look at this one before disassembling my steering column. Thanks Bruiser for your picture

The ignition switch is a real bugger to get to. I would start in the middle. Intercept the wiring at the clutch switch. Then test if power to clutch switch is coming on and going off with the ignition switch. If it is. Saves you a lot of pain getting to the ignition switch. If you don't have a clutch switch.
My condolences.
Then you have a automatic transmission. They have a neutral safety switch. Start there.

Thank you 4-vettes,
Your advice is always good and precise. I will look into this.
Too bad this breakdown does not seem very common. I will not fail to keep the forum informed of the follow-up and the repair.
It is a shame because it is in August that I ride the most.

Hello, this is not a starter relay but the seat belt relay.

Default 12v permanent to the starter solenoid

Well you're going to laugh:
Starter disconnected, key removed: I have 12v at the end of the purple wire that goes to the solenoid.
So I measure at the other end on the side of the ignition switch which is on the steering column (connector disconnected: I also have 12v!!!
Crazy stuff.
And when I go into drive nothing more (so the automatic transmission switch is doing its job well.
That means that my wire makes contact somewhere in the gearbox and the starter on 12v!

It prevents the starter from working unless the seatbelts are on. Most people bypass it because it causes problems.

Gezzz, yet still another reason to NOT HAVE a automatic transmission!
Seriously, run a new wire from the ignition switch to the S terminal of the starter. Bypassing everything in-between. And you'll be done.

Default resolved

I managed to restart the corvette. It was the seat belt immobilizer. The system was bypassed but still connected to my ignition circuit. I don't really know why this happened when changing the starter, maybe it was just happenstance
