I have to make a correction.
I am currently using the stock 74 c3 control valve but I did order this 2.5gpm valve which I have not yet installed as I have not built my AN hoses yet. https://www.ebay.com/itm/264968439673
I am running the borgeson hoses with the CPP adapters and yes I also had to turn my wheels while on jackstands from end to end about 15 times while adding fluid multiple times to get the whining and jerking to stop after filling the system.
after reading this thread im now going to cnsider an an additional steering fluid reservoir or cooling heat exchanger.
The install is done and something is not right. It was not difficult to install but with dougs side pipe headers I did need to do a small amount of "clearancing". The steering feels very loose and twitchy. Also feels notchy if that is actually a word. I know it needs to be aligned but it drives very poorly. I replaced the power steering pump at the same time with a reman. Cardone 20-6886 from summit. I have seen some posts talking about too much pump pressure and borgeson sells a kit to reduce it. I also found several inline flow valves that people say work when converting to rack and pinion systems that require less flow/pressure. I am going to try one to see if it helps. Any Other suggestions?
Did you bleed air from the system after you installed the new pump?
Installed the new valve and tried to make sure I got all the air out of the system. It is much better. My alignment is still far off and I hope to get it aligned this weekend.
