Parking Light Fault
I am a newbie working on my 1982 so any help would be appreciated. My front right parking light was not working however I located a poor connection near the light to fix this. After this repair though now all the parking lights front and rear only work when the headlights are on. Could this be a fuse and if so any ideas on which one or could it be a fault with the light switch?

How long has it been like this? Did you do anything other than FIX the bad connection? How did you fix it? If it was working the easiest thing to do is backtrack over everything you touched. Start looking for a bad ground. Whenever I find something acting weird the first thing I do is look at the grounds. Including the one up near the headlight switch. The rabbit hole is deep with everything from the wrong bulb to a bad switch. Make a plan and follow it, don't just jump from one thing to the next or throw parts at it until eventually one fixes it. You also need a schematic of the wiring. I got myself a large laminated one a long time ago and it has helped a lot. You can do this.
