Default What is this push button?

1970 small block. I think I identified everything except for this push button that was either near the accelerator or under the console. Not sure. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

It doesn’t look OEM. You will need a 1970 wiring schematic to follow the wires into the harness, then look at the harness two wire colors. Obviously your car was once owned by the omnipresent Bubba. Most of our cars have been touched by him . . . my 73 had the back up light switch removed, guess Bubba never drove my car at night.

Its likely a horn button because the one on the wheel doesnt work... mine had a similiar doorbell switch when I bought it.

Exactly...its an add on for something that stopped working, either the starter, the wipers, the horn. We dont know, trace the wires or buy a new wiring harness and start over. But thats about all we can offer, truthfully

I remember back in the 70's places like J.C. Whitney sold a cheap switch just like that for horn use.
But hey, Bubba could be creative!
