I guess he can "waste time" any way he pleases. I don't mind my 15s at all.
What performance tires can you find for 15" wheels? The choices aren't much better for 17". Lots of options for 18" wheels, which was the point of my comment.
Just looking for a good alternative to the factory Rallye wheel. Would like to keep the same 15 inch diameter if possible and stock offset. not interested in using spacers. Reducing the rotating mass at all four corners and keeping with the 70's trans am look! Thanks for any help!

I went from 15 to 17 many years ago and have Mini lite style rims. I wanted to track my car and find that now 17 are becoming obsolete size. I am currently using Michelin PS2 sizes 255/40 ZR/ 17 for the front and 335/35 ZR/ 17 in the rear.
Not sure for how much longer. At the time, not sure 18 inch rims were available.
To the OP, if high performance rubber is not your concern, go 15 if that is what you want. I think ET Mags may have what you want.

For the 70s Trans Am look, perhaps the available optional YJ8 or N90 aluminum wheels are worth considering?
They are the same 15x8 size, and the same 4" backspacing as the Ralleye wheels, but weigh half as much.
