It’s been determined that the 350 engine in my ratty 70, isn’t original to the car. But I preferred Aaron NAPA 70 Corvette sbc 350 fuel pump. I managed to get the old fuel pump off, but managed to damage the 90 degree fitting removing it from the old fuel pump. Not that it mattered because the male part that screws into the fuel pump is smaller diameter, then the new pump.
what are the correct dimensions for the 90 degree fitting for a corvette fuel pump, 1/8 male NPT to 3/8 female?
Can I still use the Corvette fuel pump on this 350 block? I assume a 350 sbc block is a 350 sbc block
If the above will not work, what is my way forward?
The original part number for the elbow fitting is 9428895. And yes, a pre-1986 small block is the same as any other pre-86 small block with regards to the fuel pump.
BTW, this info is in your AIM assembly manual. Get one for your 1970 Corvette if you don’t have one. They are pretty handy (and cheap).
This, Bring the pump and NAPA should have it Fitting
I went to O’Reily’s, NAPA, Autozone, and Advanced Auto. None of them had it. I even was told to try Pep oys, but it was closed for renovations. So I ordered from Zip.
