I have a 1972 350/200 with AT, A/C, P/S. When I first start the engine the Tach works fine, but after 10 or 15 minutes the Tach drops to 0. Is this a Tach cable problem or a Distributor problem?

Well that's weird. I assume it starts up again at some point?
Do you hear anything rotating in the tach after it stops?
Once it's stopped, you might try disconnecting the cable from the distributor and, using a drill in reverse, spin the cable to see if the needle moves. That should help isolate which end of the cable needs the focus.
I know it's weird, my son said it's the cable, but why does it work initially? I doesn't start working until the next time I drive it, like the next day. I've seen it said somewhere that there is cable lube? It just seems like one of those things that works, or doesn't, and why stop after it would appear to warm up. I've been putting off taking it apart because I have to take the shielding off and it's a pain to put back on. I would like to have any parts on hand once I start the job.
