Default New Clutch

Looking for a new clutch assembly. Don't need top of the line exotic, just run of the mill clutch that will handle 600HP.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I use a ACT 11 inch 26 spline rated at 800 foot pounds. It's very easy on the left leg effort even with out H assisted

I'm very easy on clutches and very little slipping to take off. But I have had it behind 5 different motors in my vette and it still looks brand new. You can still see white printing on the face

600 HP is not run of the mill.
perhaps looking at what racers, (above) run is a good idea.
Run of the mill is 300-350 HP . Well, in my humble opinion.

As 4 Vette's said 600 HP ain't run of the mill. You're going to need to research this a bit because I'm not sure if I'm correct but I believe all of McLeod pressure plates are the same no matter the horsepower level you choose. It's only the clutch disc that's different. My McLeod clutch (street pro level) is easy to depressed. They have a Street Extreme level thats rated at to 700HP

You need to call these people. I have what looks like a normal patterned disc not some multi puck racing idea. People with 1000 hp turbo systems use what I have.

I'm running this one behind my 502 BBC. It seems to holding fine and pedal effort feels the same as the Hays clutch.

McLeod Street Extreme Clutch Kits 75324
If you're into aggressive street driving and occasional track driving, McLeod Street Extreme clutch kits hold up to 700 lbs.-ft. of torque with street tires and moderate engine mods. These SFI-approved packages are the perfect upgrade for high-horsepower Mustangs (and other cars) that need reliable shifting on the street and the track. They feature a dual-faced ceramic friction disc, high clamp load pressure plate, pilot tool, throwout bearing, and pressure plate bolts (where applicable). You can run your pony with complete peace of mind. Street-friendly and track-proven, a McLeod Street Extreme clutch kit is your best decision. Order the model recommended for your application.
