Ok all I'm now 1/2 way through my LED conversion I did just blindly pull out the Halogen bulbs that came with the Octane lens but did anyone ever just run those hot bulbs, I prefer to stay cool and low draw but which is brighter I may throw 1 in to see
Just a little different between left & Right
I have had the Octane for a couple of months and now I am not worried about driving in the dark. They work very well. Longevity, we will have to see.
I wondered about the bulbs that came in them as well but, like you, had already changed them out before thinking too much about it. I kept them and would put them in if something happens to the led’s.
I looked up how to adjust, did that and it looks like a newer car driving at night.
Im happy with these. They are not for everyone but they use less current than stock bulbs and are far brighter. Plus they have a nice cutoff and dont blind oncoming traffic as a result. they did require cutting the buckets though. I like that the halos change colors when the turn signal is on from orange to white. plus it was like $100 for all four I believe about 5 years back when I installed them..
