My 1972 has one horn, though there is a jumper for a second horn. She's a December 1971 build and from reading the threads I think the consensuses is that she should only have one horn, but I don't know if it should be a high note or low note. I'm very curious though if a second horn could have been a dealer installed option? What would NCRS say about this? Thanks in advance, though I'm afraid I might wind up with more questions.

Should just be one horn. I truly dislike the single horn compared to the Chevrolet's dual tones of earlier years. 1970s had the dual horns (#9000245 F-note & #9000246 A-note), but in '71 and '72 just one was installed. The '71 used the low note horn from '70 (#9000245, F-note) while the '72 used #9000032, a D-note horn.
One of these days I'm going to spring the bucks for an A/F pair. That dual tone is iconic and gets peoples' attention, unlike the stock sick bull moose.
1972 had one horn, it was a low note horn part number 9000032. Dual horns were not available as a factory installed option and I'm not aware of them being available as a dealer installed option either?
For reference, 68-70 used 2 horns, a low and high note. 71-73 only came with a single low note horn, as did 74 at the start of production. At some point during 74 a second high note horn was added and from then through 82 all Corvettes again had both a low and high note horn.
I have a late build 73 with one horn. What is interesting is there is a Second OEM Connector for a second horn. It’s sorta weird as the reason Chevrolet would have the extra connector, maybe the 73 had the same wiring harness ( for two horns ) that was used on earlier year corvettes.
